World Suicide Prevention Day
As a part of World Suicide Prevention Day, the first-year post graduate students of Psychology Department, UC College, Aluva conducted an awareness campaign on suicide prevention on the 11th of September, 2023. These included an hour-long presentations and classes in every postgraduate department in the college. The program mainly focused on raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging actions. Students were made aware of the importance of mental health and embedded suicide prevention actions as a public health priority. They were also provided contact information of mental health professionals including the Jeevani counsellor of the college.
