SEMESTER AT SEA PROGRAM 2019
Psychology Department of Union Christian College held interaction sessions with the faculty and students of Semester at Sea programme for two days on 28th February and 1st March 2019. The visiting students were from different universities of USA who were pursuing Psychology Courses. The students of our department presented their views on gender psychology and psycho social aspects of arranged marriages in India. The two day programme helped initiate several inter cultural explorations with students from their familiar world of adolescent psychology, gender conceptualization, marriage and family, into the not so familiar western world practices and their understanding. The modes of discussion included presentation, movie viewing, cultural performance(oppana performance by college team), interviews and personal interactions.
